A Firewall (other names used: Gatekeeper, flytrap) is a security device (software or dedicated hardware) that filters network connections so that only data streams that are wanted can pass. You are advised to have a firewall if you have a broadband Internet connection.
Examples of firewall editors: Microsoft (Windows XP SP2), ZoneLabs, Symantec, Kerio, Sophos, McAfee, etc.
Your level of protection varies depending on your Firewall’s type of configuration. Discover three possible configurations for your Firewall.
