Checking the validity of the security certificate

WARNING, if the Security Certificate is not valid, this message is displayed on the screen:

When this screen is displayed, under no circumstances click on « Yes ». This warning screen indicates that the site's certificate is not valid.

There are three possible reasons for it not being valid:

• the Certification Authority is not recognised (especially in cases of phishing or pharming);
• the certificate is no longer valid because its validity date has expired;
• the site name does not match the name on the certificate (especially in cases of phishing or pharming).
