Phishing

Please check the definition of phishing.

The most common messages used by « phishers » include:

  • your account has been blocked,
  • we have to confirm your coordinates,
  • your credit card has been cancelled,
  • you have a large sum of money in your account, please check the withdrawals.

  • Currently, there is no specific legislation in France about the practice of phishing. If you find that you have been a victim of this type of operation, you must lodge a complaint with the police.
  • It is essential to protect yourself before the fact, which means being very vigilant. If you have any doubt about the legitimacy of some Internet pages or e-mails concerning your bank account details or showing the logo of your bank, do not hesitate to contact your bank; only it can tell you if the requests were genuine or not.
